The Bosch LCB3951/11 is a compact 6W loudspeaker with a perforated metal grille and a plastic housing, finished in an attractive RAL light white. It offers excellent audio performance and is easy to install with its integrated ceiling mounting clips. The loudspeaker (with specially treated paper cone) is frontally protected against water to IPx4, so it can be installed in damp environments, for example bathrooms, saunas, atriums and swimming pool areas.
Functions
The speaker has a very wide opening angle, which means that fewer units are needed to cover a given area. The wide frequency range means better speech and music reproduction. The unit is supplied with a 100V matching transformer with selectors for full power, half power, quarter power and eighth power.

All plastic parts are made of ABS material (UL 94VO compliant). All Bosch loudspeakers are designed to operate at their rated power for 100 hours in accordance with IEC 268-5 Power Handling Capacity (PHC) standards. Bosch has also developed the Simulated Acoustical Feedback Exposure (SAFE) test to demonstrate that they can withstand twice their rated power for short periods of time. This ensures additional reliability under extreme conditions, leading to greater customer satisfaction, longer operating life and much less chance of failure or performance degradation.
Installation/Configuration Notes
Installation is easy with integrated clips that securely hold the ceiling speaker in place. These speakers can be mounted in ceilings with a thickness of between 9 and 25mm. Wiring is via a push-in terminal block connection, making installation possible without the use of special tools. The terminals are provided for loop-through wiring. The transformer is supplied wired for a nominal output power of 6W, but can be easily changed for other connections using the colour-coded wires and terminal.
